Motion Facts and Information

  1. Trip ease may be taken with any other medication. Like other homeopathic remedies, trip ease is most effective when taken separately from food and drink, but has been specially formulated so that it may if necessary be taken in association with food and/or drink, i.e. coffee.

  2. To prevent motion sickness or sea sickness or altitude sickness: Avoid strong odors and spicy or greasy foods immediately before and during your travel. Medical research has not yet investigated the effectiveness of popular folk remedies such as soda crackers and & Seven Up® or cola syrup over ice.

  3. SEA Bands are an excellent drug free alternative to chemical travel sickness medication. The bands cause no side effects and are absolutely safe for children and adults.

  4. Most medications for motion sickness need to be taken at least 30 minutes before exposure to the activity that can cause the problem.

  5. Motion Sickness is a syndrome that occurs in some people when they travel in a vehicle such as an automobile, airplane, or ship. Its symptoms include nausea, dizziness, vomiting, drowsiness, pallor, and sweating. Why some people experience motion sickness and others don't, is uncertain.

  6. Seasickness happens when the body, inner ear, and eyes all send different signals to the brain, resulting in confusion and queasiness. It is a problem generally attributed to disturbance in the balance system of the inner ear (vestibular) system. Your sensory perception gets out of synch as these nerve fibers attempt to compensate for the unfamiliar motion of the ship moving through water.

  7. Digestive herbs or homeopathic remedies may be helpful in preventing and relieving motion sickness. As with most therapies, alternative therapies for motion sickness are best used before the onset of symptoms.

  8. Some people experience nausea and even vomiting when riding in an airplane, automobile, or amusement park ride, and this is called motion sickness. Many people experience motion sickness when riding on a boat or ship, and this is called sea sickness even though it is the same disorder.

  9. If you begin to feel sea sick, or motion sick; if you're not sure you are prone to seasickness, try reading a newspaper while in a moving car. If you have no problem with that, the chances are you should have no problem with ships either.

  10. If you do get sick, don't despair. Motion sickness generally clears up soon after you stop traveling, and has no long-term complications. Report any unusual side effects from motion-sickness medications to your health care provider.
